rigadier General cited for gallantry at the battles of Ream's Station, Deep Bottom, Five Forks,
and Sailor's Creek.
Part of General U.S. Grant's detail present at the surrender of Confederate forces at Appomattox, Virginia signaling the end of the Civil War. Punched cancelled that affects the signature. No rips or tears. Beautiful vignettes of a steam locomotive with train and a portrait of Frederick H. Billings former President of the Railroad.
