Description

A handsomely framed Chicago Railroad Company Preferred Stock Certificate of 100 shares accompanied with a black and white portrait of John Rockefeller, dated 1898. The certificate depicts a vignette of a mythic woman at top center flanked by smaller circular vignettes of a train nearing a switching station and of rail workers. Printed signatures of John D. Rockefeller, his attorney, and his private secretary, George D. Rogers to the bottom of the certificate. Light crease folds and faded signatures.
