Stock Number: 1725 - This is an impossible to find 1976 Trans AM Y82 SE 455 - 4 Speed This is the year that started it all. The announcement was issued on February 26th, 1976 and the Special Edition Trans AM was born. In celebration of 50 years, Pontiac created this Special car.  If you follow our Youtube channel, you will remember when this '76 SE arrived at our shop. It was hiding right here in Nebraska. This Trans AM was built in the Norwood, Ohio plant and it was sold new at Ernie Miller Pontiac in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Some of the options on this Y82 are Factory Air Conditioning, 455 Pontiac Engine, 4-speed manual transmission, the rare factory installed Rear Console, Tilt Steering Column and Power Windows. The PHS factory invoice shows a well equipped car with several desirable options. We even have the original Build Sheet. So this Trans AM is well documented and the reasons this is a valuable collectible are endless. The condition is a running and driving project. The interior looks very nice and has new seat covers, headliner and carpet. We serviced the brakes, installing a new master cylinder and some of the other brake components. We also serviced and cleaned the carburetor. We got the car to a running and lot driving condition, but recommend you spend some additional time on the major mechanical systems of this car before any regular driving use. If you like cars with a patina, then this car has the look. Everything is their to build a hi-value collectible Trans AM.
