1978 Pontiac Trans Am Gold SE

Description

Attempting to capitalize on its new found popularity, Pontiac offered a slew of Special Edition Firebirds including a Gold Trans Am with brown accents.
This is a TRUE 1978 Y88 S.E. L80 Trans Am. There were only 880 produced. I had a new one when I was 18 years old and a friend borrowed it and totaled it. I know for fact that the existing L80's are 879, at the very least! So, it is considered rare, in the Trans Am collections.
1978 Y88 Solar Gold SE. Only 880 produced with the L80 engine and 350 Transmission, numbers matching, 2nd owner, original miles, 2 original build sheets (see pics for specs), so many new things: Interior redyed, new carpet, new headliner, new door threshold trim/dash bezel professionally remachined, new 00 sound system and Drone Alarm/security (with real time GPS tracking), intake manifold/valve covers/air cleaner/brackets powder coated, new FITEC EFI system (with tuner), new gas tank/fuel pump/plugs/wires/distributor/stainless steel exhaust system wrapped in heat insulation/FlowMaster Mufflers/shocks/brakes/brake shields and plates/both axles/drive shaft/U Joints/water pump/thermostat/hoses/air conditioner compressor/power steering unit/sensors/alternator (Hi Amp)/new BF Goodrich T/A radial tires with approximately 100 miles on them/sound dampening mat/new paint and decals/T-Top seals/window seals/trunk seals/hood insulation blanket/windshield/LED Headlights/LED dash lights and probably a few other items that I've forgotten.
