2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6, with aftermarket Vortech supercharger. Online research indicates it is a common performance upgrade and there are claims the supercharger raises the HP from factory 325 up to 476 at the rear wheels. The car is fast! 4-Speed manual transmission, cat back exhaust. Tires with approx 5,000 miles. Suspension when purchased was lowered 1". I returned it to factory height and strengthened the suspension with new performance struts and shocks, HD anti sway bars front and rear and new springs. Car drives well and has proven to be comfortable and reliable. I purchased it as a commuter car and drove it about 6,000 miles - then learned it is NOT CARB approved in California. The previous smog passed on the numbers but now it cannot be legally registered in California. If the supercharger is removed, it can be returned to the roads of California. Otherwise, it must be registered in another state.Note, everything works except the right rear speaker is loose or blown. It rattles. Everything else works fine, including window mechanisms, A/C, CD player (in trunk), dash controls, turn signals, wipers, seat adjustment mechanisms, retractable headlights, etc.. If you have any questions or worries, let me know. I can take specific pictures or video shots to validate the condition of the car. Lastly, the supercharger confuses the onboard computer into thinking the engine needs service. Nothing changes except a dash light goes on and off randomly and occasionally. Please know that the car is NOT for sale to California residents, as it cannot be registered in the State with the existing supercharger.
