Description
This is a fine collection of Fountain Pens that belonged to my Father and others that friends and associates gave me. At 74, I'm keeping three of my favorite but how many pens can I use?The collection includes a walnut case that holds 10 pens with a glass top for table display. The pens are listed below. In addition to the pens, I'm also offering a mechanical pencil that was from my father's company in Myerstown, PA and was used as advertising swag in the mid 40s and 50s.

Fountain Pens
A black
Sheaffer
fountain pen. Rubber bladder with pull out hinged filler lever. The body is more than likely black Bakelite and was more than likely purchased by my father in the1930s and was one of his personal pens.
Condition:
there are some scrapes on the cap but the pen is fully functional. The nib is a gold plated medium Sheaffer.
An
Ideal
fountain pen also likely made of Bakelite with a wood grain motif in brown.
Condition:
The gold plating on the pocket clip and fill lever are missing some of their gold plating. Otherwise it is a fully working fountain pen. The fine nib is gold plated and made by Waterman. This one also belonged to my father and is vintage mid 1930s.

Pelican
fountain pen. It is made of a Pearlescent blue body with a black filler cap that unscrews to fill the rubber bladder and a black cap over the lower body and nib. The nib is a Pelican nib, gold plated and of fine/medium size. The band around the cap, the pocket clasp and the Pelican logon the end of the cap are gold plated. Estimated date mid-1970s.
A Koning en Hartman stainless steel fountain pen. The bladder fill is accomplished by way of a finger plunge lever on the side of the bladder inside the case. The nib is a fine stainless steel Koning. The pen was purchased by me is late 1980s.
Ball Point and Roller Ball Pens
A
custom made
Elk Horn ball point pen that was made for me in the 1980s. The shaft and cap are made of machines Elk Horn with black and gold accents. This is a beautiful piece of workmanship and a nicely functioning pen.

Alibi Roller Ball
pen that was made by the Alibi Pen company that started in the fountain pen business and migrated to ball point and roller ball pens as fountains began to lose popularity. The company now manufactures both individual an promotional pens. This is an individual pen I purchased in the 1990s because of its style and comfort in the hand. The body is made of brushed stainless. It is in need of a new cartridge.

Mountblanc Masterpiece
ball point pen. This is a classic pen with a black body and gold trim. The iconic Mountblanc snowy mountain logo is on the end of the cap. All metal work is gold plated. I purchased this for my own use in the 1980s.

Waterman
roller ball pen. It has a burgundy marble-look body with gold plated trim on the body and the pocket clasp. The top of the pen cap is black with a gold end. The pen needs a new cartridge.
Condition:
There is a very small scratch on the upper body of the pen.

Jean Pierre Lepine
Fountain Pen (Photos #6 & 7). This is a lovely large body fountain pen with a finely machined and polished stainless steel body and cap with gold accents. It uses a ink cartridge. It has an Irodium nib of medium size. It has all of its original paperwork and a walnut presentation case. The condition is like new.

Olifante Italy
Olive wood fountain pen. This is a custom pen company a friends ordered this for me knowing my love of pens. The body is nicely machined and shaped Olive wood with black and gold accents. The pen takes an ink cartridge. The nib is fine point Irodiu, German made gold plated nib. There are initials, mine, CM on the top of the body.

Monteverde Mega Ink Ball
pen. This is a unique roller ball pen that has three nib points and writes and handles like a fountain pen. It uses cartridges or a refillable cartridge. Included with the pen are the following: The Monteverde flyer, instructions for use, a box of Mountblanc blue ink cartridges and an unopened bottle of Monteverde ink. This is a large pen. It was given to me as a gift in the 1990s.
Mechanical pencil
: This pencil takes large gauge lead and is made of white plastic. It was used by my father's company, Whitmoyer Labs of Myerstown, PA as advertising swag in the late 1940s and early 1950s. It has a vial on the top end of the pencil that contains their hallmark product line which was patented medicated fees for various livestock.
Display Book - Fountain Pens, History and Design
. This is a beautifully illustrated book tracing writing instruments from the beginning of time through current day. Extraordinary writing with history, commentary and other useful information. It is great gift for someone who collects pens.The book is in brand new condition with dust cover. The author is a distinguished group of Italian scholars and was published in 1997 in Italian. The English version was published in 1998 by Antique Collector's Club of Suffolk England. The ISBN Number is: 1 85149 289 5.
