The rotating dies provide a complete diamond-shape crimp on all major brands of connectors, producing a solid mass of copper with every crimp for a secure, low resistance connection. It's also much faster than hand-held hydraulic tools, and there are no loose dies to  keep track of. These are also available in ratcheting and bench mount versions.
