Simple Manual Control Dial
A quick turn of the knob, and the Hessaire is in operation, getting you cooled off quickly with the following settings:
Low Fan Only: Use the fan without the pump and evaporative cooling on low to circulate air.
High Fan Only: Circulate air on high without the pump and evaporative cooling.
Low Fan w/ Pump On: Use the fan on low with evaporative cooling.
Pump On: Turn the pump on to pre-wet the pads.
Indoor & Outdoor Water Fill Options
With 2 different water filling options, enjoying your evaporative cooler just got easier. Manually fill the internal tank for up to 3–4 hours of cooling or attach standard hose to the back of the unit and you’re ready for hours of continuous use.
Additional Features
Adjustable Louvers: The front style grill features manually adjustable louvers that can be moved individually for pushing air up and down at the same time. This feature is great for drying floors while providing personal cooling.

Usage Information
The MC18V is only effective for spaces up to 500 square feet and is not intended for extreme outdoor use. For an outdoor swamp cooler, consider one of the Hessaire V models that feature a GFCI safety plug

Key Operational Points:
Pump must be primed per instructions prior to use. Your cooler must be positioned in front of an open window or door if it is to operate effectively. Always ensure that there is another open window or door through which the air can exhaust from the room. Ensure the filter is kept clean throughout the summer season. At the end of each day run your cooler on FAN ONLY for 30 minutes to dry out the filter Prior to putting your cooler away for winter, always:

Drain the tank and wipe out clean.

Clean the filter

Reassemble and run on FAN ONLY for 30 minutes to dry out the filter.

Coolers are pre-assembled and ready to operate. Simply remove the packaging and then carefully remove the unit from the box. Install Casters. Lock the 2 locking wheels before filling and turning on fan to keep the cooler from moving from the air velocity. Wheels, casters and any other components for assembly are nested at the bottom of the unit.

Q:
Where are the wheels and castors that should come with this unit?
A:
They are in a separate Styrofoam box inside the shipping box with the user manual.
Q:
Why doesn’t it cool right away? I just plugged it in, but it is not cooling.
A:
You need to fill the water compartment to full to allow the water pump to prime.  Once that happens, it will begin to cycle the water and within 15 minutes will be cooling efficiently
Q:
Is this a portable A/C unit?
A:
No, this is an Evaporative Cooler that uses water and a fan to cool the ambient air.  It is also known as a portable ‘swamp’ cooler.
Q:
How many hours can this unit continuously cool after I fill the water reservoir?
A:
The MC18V can cool up to 3-4 hours on one tank full. I usually check my unit every hour to make sure it is running fine.  If you want, you can just hook up your garden hose and turn on your water and the float valve on the MC18V will keep the unit continuously filled. This unit comes with its own hose adapter.
Q:
Does this unit have an auto-shut off function if the water tank runs dry?
A:
No. There is no auto-shut off so if the unit runs without water in it, it will possibly get damaged.  Evaporative coolers must always have water in their reservoir when running.
Q:
Do I have to dry out the filter/membrane before storing it?
A:
Yes. The best method is to switch to Fan-Only, empty out the reservoir and run for at least 30 minutes to dry out the media/filter.
