Lumos! Handmade Harry Potter-Inspired BIRCH Wand With LED Flashlight Wandtip

This is a hand-constructed wooden wand, inspired by those in the Harry Potter books and movies. The entire wand is made of Birch wood with copper fittings. There are no plastic or composite materials of any kind in this wand. The shaft measures ½ inch in diameter and the hilt approximately ¾ inch. From end-to-end, the wand measures 13 1/4 inches.
The luminescent wand tip--activated by a depressor switch on the hilt--is comprised of an array of 8 high-brightness LED lights. The LEDs are powered by a 6-volt battery typically used in medical devices and cameras. The battery is replaceable as the finial (back piece) detaches to provide access to the hilt.
And this wand is BRIGHT, outputting approximately 130 candelas. It provides a diffuse light, similar to the "Lumos" spell-effect seen in the Harry Potter movies, and is capable of lighting up an entire room when dark. I use my own at night in lieu of a flashlight or bedside lampstand.
The wand comes with an wooden stand and holder, labeled with the wand's specifications (length, type of wood).
This wand was made with care by a fan of Harry Potter and is ideal for all fans, young and old, who appreciate fine, handcrafted, functional gifts. Total construction time is around 4 hours and all parts are hand-made in the United States.
