The pentacle or Witch's Star is a sacred symbol in Wicca and other traditions. Consisting of a pentagram surrounded by a circle, the pentacle represents the feminine spirit, the spiritualism of Mother Earth and sacred spaces. Four of the points of the pentagram represent the four material elements (earth, water, fire, air) while the fifth represents the spirit. The circle binds these elements together representing unity, wholeness, infinity, the Goddess, and protection.
