Delightfully handsome and devilishly deformed! Good versus Evil. Phantom of the Opera. A one-of-a-kind Ken doll. Dressed in black to merge with the shadows. Little hints of wealth and luxury in the costume. Featuring a Ken doll with rooted medium brown hair and a hand painted face, both handsome and gruesome. The Ken body style is the articulated, posable Ken with jointed elbows and knees, a pivotal waist and a slim but muscular build, broad shoulders. Parts of the body have been handpainted. Close up photo shows incomplete and partial paint job on the lower legs. The midnight black costume is delightfully detailed. The cape is a full circle of black faille fabric that is joined to the tails tuxedo jacket at the collar. It is accented with black appliques and jet beads. The shirt, trousers and waistcoat are all one piece and detailed with pearly bead and jet bead "buttons." Snap closures. So both the cape with attached jacket and the "bodysuit" are removable. Ensemble includes black flocked hat, pearly finish white half mask, skeleton head staff, black socks and black shoes. Excellent used condition, displayed only in a closed cabinet. "FLAWS" - some minor wear to the underside of the hat brim - tip of the nose of the half mask has a small chip in the paint - elastic thread of the half mask is aged and stretched and will be replaced, and the skeleton head staff may not be custom made. Also please note that raw edges of the fabric on the inside of the jacket are not overlocked but are fray checked. A decidedly wonderful and unique addition to a collection.
