I DID NOT TEST IT. IT COULD BE KT GOLD, NOT SURE.
I SPENT MANY HOURS RESEARCHING THIS MODEL RETRACTABLE FOUNTAIN PEN
I FOUND THE DUNN NIB AND ALSO SEE THAT SOME HAVE BEEN SOLD ON EBAY.
HOWEVER, NO LUCK WITH THE PEN.
    DESCRIPTION
THE NIB AND PEN LOOKS TO BE IN WONDERFUL CONDITION. HOWEVER, THE RETRACTION OF THE NIB DOESN'T RETRACT WHEN YOU SLIDE IT BACK. YOU HAVE TO TAP IT DOWN TO RECEDE BACK IN THE PEN. IT DOES SLIDE VERY SMOOTHLY.
IT DOES SLIDE FORWARD WITH NO PROBLEM, WHEN IT'S WITHIN THE PEN.
    BRIEF HISTORY
The Dunn-Pen Company set its sights high. Based in New York City, it produced a line of high-quality pump-fillers and backed them up with an extensive advertising campaign.
The invention that gave life to the company was the filling mechanism, which, due to its effectiveness, allowed it to obtain good market shares.
As it turned out, however, the company lasted only a few years. Pen production began in 1921, but Dunn-Pen collapsed in May 1924. A group of bondholders bought the assets of the bankrupt company at auction and resumed production in July 1924 as Dunn Pen and Pencil, Inc., but the reorganized firm does not appear to have lasted long, with no mentions in New York area newspapers or stationery trade journals after 1925. While collector lore has it that the company failed due to a prolonged strike by its workers, extensive research has found no evidence to support this tale. This absence is particularly telling, in that Dunn's bankruptcy hearings were extensively covered in New York area newspapers -- in no small part due to Kermit Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt's son, having served as a Dunn director.
